TKP Parent Resources

Thank you for you interest in The Kids’ Place Christian Learning Center.

The Kids’ Place has a phenomenal staff of creative, knowledgeable individuals from diverse backgrounds! Many of our teachers have been employed by us for more than 10 years and have a degree in Early Childhood Education or a Florida Child Care Professional Credential.

We strive to provide for your children the same nurturing environment you give them at home, so our parents’ involvement is always welcomed. We invite you to share ideas, give feedback and get involved through volunteering and participating in school events.

It is my sincere hope that your TKP experience will be as rewarding to you and your family as it has been for countless other families, including my own.

Executive Director The Kids’ Place/IRCCA & Mother of 2 TKP Grads

About MyProCare

We know how important it is to stay up to date on your child’s learning journey, which is why we’re excited to offer you access to Procare Solutions’ best-in-class parent app.

Procare is the No. 1 name in child care software – used by more than 30,000 child care businesses across the country.
This parent engagement solution helps raise the bar for the parent experience with professional communications,
easy-to-access portals and the opportunity for real-time updates from the classroom.

MyProCare is a parent portal that serves two primary purposes:

  1. New families may register online or be placed on a wait list.
  2. Current families have access to information, such as child schedules, time cards, immunizations, log sheets, financial history and their balance due, as well as the ability to make mobile payments, and re-register their children.

What Can I See on the App?

Once you download the Procare mobile app, you can stay up to date on your child’s daily activities, milestones, and more! We can send you photos and videos of your child, as well as keep you in the loop on upcoming events and time-sensitive information.

The app also offers several “contactless” ways to check your child in and out. This helps us limit in-person interactions and unnecessary foot traffic in the center so we can better ensure the health and wellbeing of you, your children and our staff.

How do I get the app?

You will receive an email from Procare with a unique 10-digit code and instructions on how to download and log into the the app.

Portfolio

We can now create a portfolio containing pictures taken throughout the day. These pictures will be available for you to download, share, print or link to Facebook.

We think you’ll really enjoy this new way for us to stay connected!

The Pyramid Model

Promoting Social Emotional Competence in Infants and Young Children

What is the Pyramid Model?

The Pyramid Model is a framework of evidence-based practices for promoting young children’s healthy social and emotional development.

Programs that have used this approach experience the following:

  • Reductions in children’s challenging behavior

  • Increase in children’s social skills

  • Increased satisfaction of program staff and families

  • Reduce turnover in the program

  • Increase in teachers’ competence and confidence to support children’s social-emotional development and address challenging behaviors

The Kids’ Place is one of two licensed programs in Brevard County to be selected to participate in the implementation of the Pyramid Model Program grant offered through the State of Florida Office of Early Learning and the University of South Florida.  The goal of the project is to establish the use of practices within the program that will promote the social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of children in healthy and beneficial ways.  All of our staff complete the Pyramid training in the first year of employment.

The websites listed below share more information about the program and the benefits from its practices.
