Week in and week out, The Kids' Place is led by the greatest team on the planet! There is a reason why The Kids' Place is the largest Christian-based child care in the county. Here is the reason why...

  • Heather Quidort  executive director   HQUIDORT@IRCUMC.COM

Heather and her husband are originally from Indiana. They came to Titusville in 1994. By 1997, they were in need of a preschool program, which led them to IRCUMC. Both of their children, Tyler & Madisyn, attended The Kids’ Place. Their experience here was amazing, which led Heather to join The Kids’ Place in its ministry in the spring of 2000. She has her AS Degree in Early Childhood Education and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational & Business Management. Heather loves being a part of a ministry that shares Christ’s love with so many children and families in our community. Her goal as the Executive Director is to provide children with a safe, happy and healthy environment, while surrounded with Christian love, morals and values. She leads her staff encouraging spiritual growth to equip each of us to let our lights shine for Christ in all we do at The Kids’ Place.

Cindy came to The Kids’ Place in 1997 as a preschool parent. In 1999, she joined our team, dedicated to enriching the lives of the children. She taught preschool for 15 years, toddlers for two years and has been the assistant director in both the Toddlers and School Age programs. In 2013, Cindy received her AS Degree in Early Childhood Education. The joy that Cindy feels by being part of The Kids’ Place Ministry is overwhelming. She believes that incorporating Bible stories and prayer into the children’s daily routines will help plant the seeds for every child to learn and grow in Christ.

Vision and Mission

To be the Christian educational facility of choice in North Brevard County and to consistently pursue and achieve excellence for every child spiritually, academically, physically, and socially. This vision embraces reaching out to families for Jesus by providing support, education, and resources that will enable families to grow as a family and to grow as Christians.

The Kids’ Place Christian Learning Center is open to all children regardless of race, color, sex, religion, or national origin. All children will receive the full benefit of our programs and will be treated with dignity and respect.

Toddlers - AGES 1-3

We provide care for children ages 1 to 3 years. Our children are lovingly nurtured in a warm, homelike atmosphere. Your child’s day will be filled with small group activities and lots of individual attention.

The philosophy of our center is to offer developmentally appropriate activities to children in all areas: social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual. We use hands on activities to promote their independence, we help them make appropriate choices, and aid in building their self-esteem. Through these activities the children will develop skills necessary for successful learning.

Our approach to teaching children is based on learning through play experiences. Our programs use creative curriculum to provide a variety of activities in a relaxed and caring environment. Children will be introduced through hand-on activities to art, math, music, physical activities, science, creative drama, language arts, social studies and games. In addition, spiritual development is encouraged through bible stories and prayer.

Preschool - Ages 3-5

Our approach to teaching children is based on learning through structured play experiences and developing social skills to build a strong foundation for life. We use creative curriculum and incorporate a variety of additional resources, themes and lesson plans that are designed by our teachers. Our programs provide a variety of activities in a relaxed, caring, and loving environment. Children will be introduced through hands-on activities to art, math, cooking, music, physical activities, science, creative drama, language arts, social studies and games. Spiritual development will be nurtured through chapel, bible stories, prayer, praise and worship.

School Age - Ages 5-12

The Kids' Place School Age Before & After Care/Summer Camp programs provide a variety of opportunities to help each child grow toward their full potential. Our goal is to build character while nurturing spiritual development with guided, age appropriate activities. These activities include organized gymnasium play, homework guidance, daily devotionals and weekly praise and worship songs, game room play including arts and crafts, outdoor play, and big screen movie day.

We provide transportation to and from several local schools: Apollo, Coquina, Imperial Estates, Park Avenue Baptist, Sculptor Charter and St. Teresa. Our program is year round with care provided on most holidays including spring break and teacher in-service days. We are known for our exciting summer camp and fun field trips.
