Pastoral Care Ministries is there to meet the needs of those who are suffering from illness, life changes, difficulties, isolation, and bereavement. If you have a pastoral need, let us know. We'll be glad to help.

Prayer

While prayer is an important part of any group that meets, these groups specifically focus on intercessory prayer.  You are invited share your prayer requests by phone or email. Call the prayer line number at 321-269-9020 or email prayer@ircumc.com. New Prayer Warriors are always welcome to join these groups. 


Intercessory Prayer Group: This intercessory prayer group prays over the prayer requests that come in from the weekend services. Confidentiality is honored. They meet at the Chapel in the Office Building from 11 a.m. to noon. Dinah Bryant and Bruce Baker lead the Intercessory Prayer Group.

Woman Alone

Women Alone is a support group for women who have suffered the loss of a spouse. The women enjoy a time of fellowship, sharing, a devotion, an occasional speaker and food. The group meets the fourth Sunday of each month from 3 to 5 p.m. September to March and 4 to 6 p.m. beginning in April in Wesley Hall, Studio 153. Prayer shawl

Prayer Shawl Ministry is for those who knit, crochet or would  like to learn how. There are two groups: The daytime group meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon  in Wesley Hall, Studio 153, and the evening group meets on the  fourth Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Wesley Hall, Studio 153.

Dementia Alliance Support Group

Dementia Alliance Support Group is for people who care for or are related to people suffering from illnesses related to progressive Dementia. Learn how best to care for people who suffer from it. It is a safe forum to talk through challenges, share feelings, needs and concerns, and learn about resources available in the community. The group meets the on second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Choir Room.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is a support group that meets the first Friday of the month (September to May) from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the choir room. Meetings are open an forum to discuss the challenges, concerns, joys, and issues of raising your grandchildren in a non-judgmental and caring environment with others in the same situation.

Chronic Illness Support Group

The purpose of the Chronic Illness Support Group is to provide support and a caring Christian environment for people who are dealing with illness that causes chronic pain, breathing difficulties, necessary compliance, etc. (cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, diabetes, etc.) The group meets on the second Thursday of the month in the Wesley Hall, room 124 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Right now, they are meeting on Zoom only.
