  • alpha

Alpha is a series of eleven interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly and honest environment. No pressure. No charge. No follow up. Alpha runs in churches, homes, coffee shops and bars all around the globe. Typically, Alpha includes food, a short talk and a time for discussion where guests can share their thoughts. It covers topics such as, "Who is Jesus?", "Why and how do I pray?", and "How can I resist evil?"

Alpha hosts and helpers are designed to function more as facilitators than teachers or leaders. Alpha guests are made to feel welcome and at ease in a safe, explorative environment.

A course will be held in 2019. Questions about the course are welcome. Clink on the link to explore the site or email the course leaders, Sam and Lois DiBlasio. Sam DiBlasio at or Lo DiBlasio at

  • School Volunteer

Choose a school of your interest and get involved! Volunteer in a classroom to read, mentor, help a teacher with making copies for their class or other projects. Use your gifts and talents one hour a week or more, just give and you will receive!

  • Good News Club

Good News Club is an after school club founded by Child Evangelism Fellowship and has Bible lessons, prayers and where Christ’s love transforms all! It is held from October to April during the school year and follows all school breaks. It is held at schools that invite the club to be there and there is a hunger and desire that more schools would like to have this club at their school and is led by volunteers who do everything from crafts and snacks to leading singing and teaching the lesson/story all in one hour. Teachers from the local schools are encouraged to participate on the team. It’s a wonderful way to touch a child and help them learn about the love of Jesus. Indian River City Church is leading two clubs and there are others led by other churches in our community. The ones we’re leading are at Imperial Estates Elementary and the second is a restart at Coquina Elementary in January 2019. There was a club at Coquina from 2012 – 2017 and it’s being reestablished. Please contact Christine Luecking at if you are interested in assisting at either club or helping start one in another elementary school.

  • Seafarer's

Canaveral Port Ministry exists to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the international seafarers, in order to fulfill Christ's command to share His redeeming love with the whole world. Port Canaveral has many cruise and cargo ships come through every day with crew members from all over the world.

This can be understood when you walk through the ministry and see all of the flags on the walls that represent the nationality of the seafarers that have come to our hospitality center. There currently are over 110 nations represented. In 2013 alone, approximately 28,798 seafarers from 82 countries visited the Seafarers Ministry.

The ministry helps seafarers from the cruise and cargo ships that come to Port Canaveral. It is open 365 days per year, and will stay open until 10 p.m. if there are ships to serve. There are many ways that you can serve at the ministry. A few examples are:
